From Arial to Art – A Typography Experiment.
The theme of this work is the creation of a typographic font. The creation process is experimental and shows the development of letters and characters over a certain period. The initial typography referenced is the Arial font. When black tempera paint is applied to a plexiglass plate, the plate is raised upright and the font weights are documented for one minute. Finally, the resulting font is vectorised and converted into a digital format.
Denis Jakupi was born in 2000 in the city of Koprivnica, he graduated from high school with a specialization in Web Design in 2019 and continued his professional development with a focus on design. In 2022, he completed his studies in University North, Art Studies, Department of Media Design. During his studies, he worked at the Reklam printing house. The same year, he pursued postgraduate studies in Media Design. Since early 2023, he has been working as a freelancer in design and visual communications. A year later, he joined AK Gallery, where he took on the responsibility for the technical setup of exhibitions.
