ZGDW AWARD

ZGDW Award is only international design award
in Croatia. Projects are submitted from all around the world into six categories. International, expert, jury is voting in two rounds. Best projects are exhibited at the finalist’s exhibition at ZGDW central location. From each category, the best three projects are awarded. Prize–giving ceremony is organised at the opening and always turns into a great party.

ŽIRI

Maša Vukmanović

Maša Vukmanović was born in Paris in 1979. After completing high school, she graduated from the Design Studies program at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb, specializing in product design. Since 2018, she has been engaged as the Creative Director at the furniture brand Milla&Milli. Maša Vukmanović opened her creative studio in 2014, marking the beginning of her collaboration with Jelena Lukač Kirš and Jakov Šrajer in the Thinkobjects team. In addition to product design in a broader sense, she is also active in the fields of branding and visual communication.

Vedrana Vrabec

Vedrana Vrabec is a creative director and partner at the design studio Rašić+Vrabec in Zagreb. She has been professionally engaged in design for over 20 years. She began honing her design skills at Studio Rašić, where she worked on conceptualizing visual identities, designing books, packaging, and websites. Today, her passion lies in creating spaces that offer unique experiences to users, with a focus on integrative design. She has earned numerous international professional awards, establishing herself as an expert in a holistic approach to design.



Raluca Mirel

“With more than 10 years’ experience in supporting local creative industries in Romania, Raluca is the Project Director of Romanian Design Week and a proud member of The Institute team.” 

Mika Cimolini

Mika Cimolini is an architect, based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She has been involved in the development of creative industries in Slovenia as Head of Programme at the Centre for Creativity within the Museum of Architecture and Design (MAO). Mika obtained a bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana where she later worked as an assistant professor. She completed her master’s degree in architecture at the Berlage Institute in the Netherlands. After graduation, she founded an international architectural studio in Amsterdam with Igor Kebel – Elastik –  that operated between Slovenia, the Netherlands, and Australia.

Boiana Gjaurova

Boiana Gjaurova je kulturna menadžerica s dubokim interesom za kuratorski i urednički rad. Diplomirala je filmske studije i povijest umjetnosti u Kölnu, Njemačka, nakon čega se vratila u Bugarsku i započela raditi u časopisu Edno. Nakon nekoliko godina rada na festivalu ONE DESIGN WEEK, 2015. godine, zajedno s Adrianom Andreevom, osnovala je Studio Komplekt – organizaciju za kulturni menadžment s fokusom na dizajn.
