The ZGDW AWARD is an international design award presented by an expert jury across six categories.
Since 2017, we have been presenting design awards, and from 2020, under the name ZGDW AWARD. This award is distinctive in Croatia as it welcomes participants from all around the globe.
The top finalists will be showcased to the public at an exhibition held during Zagreb Design Week, taking place from September 25 to 29, 2024, at Jadran Film. The jury will deliberate and choose the top three works in each of the six categories. The highly anticipated announcement of the winners and the grand award ceremony will be a pivotal part of the festival’s opening on September 25.

Sven Sorić is a Croatian graphic designer who graduated architecture from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Architecture in 2015. He has been a member of the Croatian Designers Association since 2017 and joined the Executive Board in 2021, becoming its president in 2023. Since 2018, he has been part of the informal collective M28. One of his collaborative projects, “This Town Needs Posters,” has received multiple awards over the past decade.
Nikola Radeljković is a Croatian product designer and co-founding member of Numen/For Use, a multidisciplinary collective working in the fields of conceptual art, scenography, industrial and spatial design. The group worked for leading furniture producers in Europe, including Cappellini, Classicon, Magis, Moroso and Zanotta. From 2011. Numen/For Use designs furniture mostly for Prostoria. Nikola Radeljković is also a guest teacher at numerous design schools and art director at Nunc.
Elena Salmistraro is an Italian industrial and fashion designer. She studied at the Brera Art School and graduated in 2003 in Fashion Design from the Politecnico di Milano, followed by a second degree in Industrial Design in 2008. In 2009, she founded her studio with architect Angelo Stoli, working on projects ranging from architecture to design, art, fashion, illustration, and other visual arts. Elena Salmistraro lectures at the Istituto Marangoni in Milan, the Abadir University in Catania and the Politecnico di Milano.
Nataša Perković is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian product designer who earned her postgraduate degree at the University of Sarajevo, Academy of Fine Arts, Department of Product Design, where she is currently an Assistant Professor. She is the creative director of GoEs Furniture. Previously Perković has worked at The Partners in London, UK, Cittadellarte — Fondazione Pistoletto in Biella, Italy, and Kyoto Institute of Technology D-Lab in Japan. She received numerous international awards, including the Red Dot Design Award, D&AD Best New Blood, Imm Cologne ICONIC Interior Innovation Award and German Design Award Special Mention.
Joaquín Béjares Henry is a Chilean industrial designer and co-founder of Local, an organization that aims to promote Chilean design. Local organized “Encuentro Local,” one of the most important contemporary design events in Chile. He also served as director of Chilean Design Month, overseeing the coordination and execution of more than 300 design events in the country. Joaquín Béjares Henry is a lecturer at the design schools of Diego Portales University and Finis Terrae University in Santiago de Chile.
