Personal stories and nostalgia from Slavica Habjanović, combined with Imelda Ramović’s retro aesthetic, highlight the Croatian diaspora identity.
The book Croatian Stories by Slavica Habjanović explores the identity of the Croatian diaspora through a collection of personal stories and observations from her column in the Croatian Herald. It connects Croatians in the diaspora and those interested in Croatian culture, blending humor and nostalgia. The design and illustrations created by designer Imelda Ramović from Studio Imeldy evoke nostalgic memories with a retro aesthetic and motifs of the Croatian coast. On the cover, the figure of a woman shapes mountains that blend into the sea, symbolizing the author herself and connection to her roots.
