Viuviu Home creates unique products that blend decorative and functional elements, highlighting the beauty of nature and craftsmanship. By reviving old crafts and skills through contemporary design, their products, such as woven pendants made from willow branches, incorporate authentic textures and colors, with an emphasis on natural imperfections that add distinctive character.
These "imperfections" not only enrich the aesthetic experience but also tell a story about the nature from which they originate. Inspired by the fishing tradition of the island of Hvar, they use fishing needles and thread for weaving, reviving an almost extinct skill. Each pendant reflects the spirit of Hvar, bridging the past and the future through unique, eco-friendly products.
Martina and Juraj Knezović, a creative team with a passion for nature and craftsmanship, founded Viuviu Home to create unique products that blend decorative and functional elements. Their mission is to offer products that are not only functional but also inspiring, emphasizing authenticity, simplicity, and a love for handmade items. They are dedicated to craftsmanship, which is evident in the careful and precise creation of each element, with a focus on detail.
In their woven products, they use forgotten weaving skills, reviving tradition and adding soul and uniqueness to each piece. Handcrafting allows for a high degree of personalization, making every product unique and perfectly tailored to customer needs. By using natural materials such as willow branches, each piece becomes one-of-a-kind, reflecting the beauty and diversity of nature.
Their "Second Life" line promotes environmental responsibility by utilizing resources that would otherwise be discarded. By incorporating recycled paper, shells, sea glass, wood scraps, cork stoppers, and other natural materials, they support a circular economy.
