"Zlata Kocka," or the Slovenian Golden Cube, is a prestigious award presented by the Architecture Center of Slovenia. This award celebrates high-quality architecture designed for children, from preschool age to 18 years, and recognizes sustainable designs that consider the environment and spatial context.
The structure of the Golden Cube is made from brass panels connected by transparent threads, creating a "tensegrity" structure that produces a captivating floating effect. This structure resembles a cube on one side and the letter Z (for Zlata) on the other.
Excellence in architecture, much like the elements in the "tensegrity" structure, often challenges conventional building methods. The balance and harmony symbolized by the Golden Cube reflect the delicate equilibrium that architects achieve when creating resilient and visually stunning structures.
Monoform develops brands, designs visual identities, and provides strategic support to organizations with the aim of helping them achieve their full potential.
