A multifunctional table for all occasions.

Project

The WM 4070 table was created as part of a semester project in the Design Studio. The task was to design an item using sheet materials that addresses a problem in the spirit of DIY culture within the interior of a selected person. The project required the use of inexpensive, readily available materials that can be processed by amateurs without professional tools.

Tomislav Kadić chose to address the need of his brother for a functional solution in a small space, where he needed a studio for photography and filming, as well as a space for social games that can accommodate up to six people. As a solution, he proposed the foldable WM 4070 table. This table can adjust its dimensions vertically and horizontally to meet different user needs. In social settings, the table unfolds to a standard height, allowing seating for up to six people. When not in use for games, the table can be folded to the size of a coffee table. When folded, the table displays a graphic pattern with grooves that serve as a structural feature when the table is unfolded, combining functionality with aesthetics in its design.
