Based on the activities carried out in recent years for the brownfield area of the former Sljeme factory in Sesvete by the association Green and Blue Sesvete, the Faculty of Architecture, and the City of Zagreb, the initiative aims to bring together stakeholders to affirm the importance of that area for the local context on the one hand and, on the other, activate the local and wider community and form a base of future users of this space through inclusive and participatory processes. Until the realisation of the complete transformation of this brownfield area, the initiative wants to test models of temporary use of space through the implementation of small projects of various stakeholders from culture, art, upbringing, and education, non-governmental organisations, individuals, and all interested actors.
So far, in addition to the above-mentioned stakeholders, were included the FabLab Croatia association, Rotary Club Zagreb Sesvete, Croatian Permaculture Association, Prigorje Museum, Sesvete National University, Luka Elementary School, Čisteći Medvjevići, School of Applied Art and Design, Mountain Club, ceramic studio ByFire, Dream Catcher association, HPD Lipa, ŠIZ Sesvete Gymnasium, and others.
In the planning and implementation of the project, the initiative accepts and shares the values of the New European Bauhaus "beautiful, sustainable, inclusive".
