In today's world, which strives for innovation, sustainability, and responsibility while simultaneously being suffocated by the negative effects of progress, waste, and pollution, biomaterials have become a central element of the revolution and a critical factor in the transformation of the textile industry and textile design. The ability to transform ordinary organic waste into valuable materials opens doors to innovation, sustainability, and aesthetic expression. This supports a different way of thinking that creates a society with a circular approach—where the production of materials does not harm natural systems but restores them. New research not only changes the way we produce and use textiles but also emphasises the importance of the synergy between nature, science, and art. The ingredients of biomaterials often come from linear industrial processes that generate a lot of waste, which can actually be recycled. Waste, such as plant residues or organic materials that would otherwise end up in landfills, can be transformed into new, usable materials. This transformation not only reduces the ecological footprint and the risk of environmental pollution but also opens up opportunities for the development of completely new generations of products.
