Ki Klop is a Zagreb-based disco pop mutant and a new theatrical face on the regional alt scene. The band was founded by Jakov Ramničer and Luka Žigolić, and after the addition of a drummer, they became a three-piece live band. Now, Ki Klop consists of Luka Žigolić on guitar and vocals, Jakov Ramničer on bass, and Laura Tandarić on drums and vocals, whose arrival brought freshness and strength to the band. In this new lineup, Ki Klop has become a reactor of raw energy, pulling everything in front of them into a black disco hole from the stage. A strong, solid, and striking rhythm section, combined with infectious dance grooves, through mantra-like guitars and vocals, throws everyone on the dance floor into a dancing trance.
In August 2023, the band introduced themselves with the EP "U dućanu ćilima" ("In the Carpet Shop"), presenting modern indie pop with hints of soft rock and electro-disco, along with irresistible poetic imagery.
Ki Klop has joined the independent record label and collective JeboTon, and with the singles "Duh u ormaru" ("Ghost in the Closet"), "Amsterdam," and "S prozora" ("From the Window"), they announced their debut album and a new chapter for the band. Since the end of May 2024, their debut album "Otopljeni disko" ("Melted Disco") has been spreading from every speaker, leading the listener on a conceptual musical journey through twelve tracks, pulling them into a dark electro-disco odyssey where they themselves become a new mythical creature – Ki Klop, or the disco Frankenstein, lost in smoke and music. "Otopljeni disko" is the perfect soundtrack for hot summer nights, dancing until dawn, and parties where everything melts in the glow of the disco ball and neon lights.
You can experience Ki Klop live at performances across the region, which are a combination of concerts, dramatic performances, and club-dance experiences. In addition to promoting their EP in the courtyard of AKC Attack, they have performed at the Zlarin Street Music Festival, at Vintage Industrial Bar, at the largest JeboTon party so far in Boogaloo Club, and at Zagreb's Hala Galija in AKC Attack.
