Institution

Zagreb University of Applied Sciences (TVZ) was established in 1998 to educate future engineers. TVZ has four departments: Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering, with a total enrolment of 4,300 students per year. TVZ's IT design program prepares students for independent work in the fields of visual communication design, digital product design, web design, and multimedia design. Students create content for print and digital media and gain experience in digital photography, animation, video, and computer editing; also, the knowledge of organisation and modern communication methods required for the quality realisation of design and multimedia projects.

Exhibition

This year's exhibition of IT design students of the Technical Polytechnic in Zagreb consists of works on the topic of possible directions for the future development of educational design. The works participated in the international competition Design for Future Education, organised by Beijing Normal University and the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE). Students thought about the future of education through the lens of different groups, educators and students, trying to devise ways to provide equal educational opportunities for students from different backgrounds and specific situations. Their concepts of different types and levels of education are developed with the help of modern digital tools, including AI, and are realised through prototypes of digital applications and the medium of augmented reality.
