How does public space look through the eyes of children? What would their ideal park look like – a bench big enough for all their friends, a treehouse at the top of a tree, a slide that comes out of their building? The sky’s the limit, and it’s all within reach in our local park.
In this participatory workshop on designing urban equipment, the youngest citizens will have the opportunity to create benches, climbing structures, swings, and anything else they wish to see in their parks and playgrounds. After the workshop, they will get to see their designs photomontaged into the park during the Zagreb Design Week program.
The workshop is led by Ana Komadina, Vili Rakita, Mihaela Sladović, and Andrea Stanić – young architects and organizers of this year’s City-Community-Stream program (affectionately known as Tok), which included various workshops for citizens of all ages, aimed at raising awareness about public space.
