Jelena Fogec, born in Rijeka, has been living and working in Zagreb since 2011. She channeled her passion for creative expression into the brand Minerva, founded in 2022. She finds inspiration in various life periods, everyday motives, and events from her surroundings. Although creative energy has followed her since childhood, it was only by transitioning from social and humanities sciences to creative entrepreneurial waters that she began to express her talent through metal.
As a designer of contemporary jewelry, Jelena uses her master's degree in English and German studies obtained at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb to continuously learn, refine her skills, and explore new techniques. She tirelessly sets new challenges and goals, driven by her passion for her work and love for innovation. Metal, which is originally hard and rough, Jelena transforms into elegant, soft, and pure pieces of jewelry, combining thermal, chemical, and mechanical processing with various crafting techniques. Her unique pieces are perfect for everyday and special occasions, bringing a touch of sophistication to every moment.
At Zagreb Design Week, jewelry sets will be presented in a completely new Minerva packaging, bringing a true refreshment for all jewelry lovers. The collection includes statement pieces made in combination with crystals or exclusively from metal. The design will irresistibly remind of fashion details such as coats, giving customers the opportunity to be the first to try and acquire rings with crystal buttons, resembling mini coats. In addition to rings, the collection will also include statement earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and brooches, all with a unique designer signature.
