Barbara Janković's 2023 collection, "Coming Undone," explores the concept of physical and mental liberation through relaxed silhouettes and ties that symbolize the phrase "coming undone." The clothing is designed to be easy to put on and take off. Each piece in the collection is named after feelings experienced during the design process; for example, the first piece is a sweater called "Knotty," because every beginning of the process was tangled, while the "signature" scarf and ring are named "Undone," as they represented the end of the process, or untangling.
Barbara Janković's 2024 collection, "Far Off," symbolically builds upon the previous collection. Inspired by expanding horizons and personal discovery, this collection features various textures and is dominated by three colors: cream, gray, and black. The reason for choosing these colors will be revealed by the designer in the future.
Virago is a Croatian fashion brand founded at the end of 2021, symbolizing resilience and inner strength. Historically, the word "virago" was used to denigrate women with strong characteristics traditionally seen as male. Today, "Virago" represents strong and confident women of high standards. The brand has transformed the term from a restrictive concept into a symbol of freedom.
Virago specializes in designing and producing premium clothing and accessories, including their signature piece—a scarf with a ring—offered in various silhouettes, colors, prints, and materials. All their products are manufactured in Europe, primarily in Portugal, with plans to expand production to Zagreb. Virago will unveil pieces from the upcoming collection exclusively at Zagreb Design Week, allowing visitors to see, feel, and try them before anyone else.
