Write. Break. Grow. is a project that combines sustainable design, emotional reflection, and the power of nature into a unique user experience. The product is a natural, alcohol-free, unisex oil perfume that narrates a story of personal growth and emotional transformation through its design.
Its interactive packaging, made from recycled paper pulp with embedded non-invasive plant seeds, doubles as a therapeutic tool. Users are encouraged to write down negative thoughts on the box and tear it apart, a symbolic gesture of emotional release. The torn box can then be planted, turning discarded burdens into new life, a growing plant.
The perfume is housed in a bottle made of obsidian, a volcanic stone historically associated with protection and healing. Other components, like the spray mechanism, are made from biodegradable plastic to ensure the product remains fully sustainable. The bottle’s stone-like form, partially raw and organic, makes each piece unique.
This project explores how packaging can transcend functionality to become a medium for introspection, emotional renewal, and sustainable action.
