Festival sa serijom svjetlosnih instalacija diljem Koprivnice koji tumači svjetlo kroz ekološke priče

Project

The project Light for Tomorrow is designed as a festival with a series of light installations distributed throughout the city of Koprivnica, connecting nature, technology and community. Each location interprets the theme of light through an ecological story: from glowing nettles and floating bees to projections of roots on city buildings.

The author team designed the first five locations that form the basic festival route, but the concept is envisioned as an open platform that encourages collaboration with other artists who can submit their works within the festival’s thematic framework. The festival is inspired by the Zagreb Light Festival but brings a pronounced ecological focus through the use of recycled and sustainable materials. It encourages awareness of climate change and the importance of coexistence with nature. The slogan “This is Koprivnica for Tomorrow” is conceived as a flexible format that can easily be adapted to other cities, opening the possibility for the festival to expand.

Author

The author team consists of three third-year undergraduate students of the Media Design program at University North. Katja Kolarić, Iva Burulic and Margita Fotez share a strong common interest in graphic design and contemporary art. Through collaboration on various academic and personal projects at the faculty, they have developed strong teamwork skills and the ability to connect ideas into clear and impactful concepts. This project was created as part of the Multimedia course, which required creating a multimedia experience such as an exhibition or event.
