In collaboration with Ljubljana Tourism, DBP Studio was invited to shape the visual identity and on-site experience for the prestigious Virtuoso Chairman’s Event 2024,an exclusive gathering of the world’s most influential luxury travel advisors. As Ljubljana took the spotlight for this high-profile event, design played a key role in conveying the city’s charm and Slovenia’s cultural richness through a unified, immersive experience.
The event was anchored in two key experiences: the Ljubljana Food Crawl, a curated gastronomic walk through culinary hotspots, and the Gala Dinner at Rog Centre, a celebration hosted in a revitalized industrial space.
The approach focused on location-specific storytelling. Instead of applying a single visual style, Ljubljana itself became the brand,its architecture, gastronomy, and layered history taking center stage. For each Food Crawl location, a hand-drawn illustration of the actual building was created, celebrating the city’s architectural and cultural heritage.
A cohesive suite of materials was developed: a custom map, signage, and venue-specific menus for the Food Crawl, and elegant menus, signage, and a seating plan for the Gala Dinner. These illustrations became the unifying visual thread, supported by typography and layout that enhanced the sense of place and discovery.
The design didn’t merely support the event,it amplified it, turning each moment into a curated and memorable experience that helped elevate the entire project.
