Project

Lapidus is a visual identity for a brand that embodies luxury, sophistication, and timeless elegance. Inspired by the natural strength and beauty of materials, Lapidus seeks to create spaces that reflect refinement, durability, and premium quality.

The name derives from the Latin lapideus, made of stone, and is also an isogram, containing no repeating letters, making it both structurally and visually distinct. The logo was crafted using the Futura typeface with specific typographic adjustments to reflect the brand’s philosophy and the historical context of the name.

Ascenders in letters ‘L’, ‘P’, and ‘D’ were shortened for visual balance, while ‘A’ and ‘U’ were typographically harmonized. The dot on the letter ‘i’ was designed as a distinct symbol to represent brand differentiation, and generous letter-spacing contributes to an exclusive, airy feel. The result is a refined, contemporary logo that effectively communicates the essence of the Lapidus brand.
