This poster series multilayeredly examines the role of the poster as a medium, inspired by the Zagreb Youth Theatre’s experimental approach to theatrical production. A poster within a poster opens a dialogue between classical and contemporary design approaches, questioning the boundaries and function of the medium itself. The visual language created constantly shifts between the familiar and the destabilizing, evoking a sense of contemporary chaos. The posters operate on three layers: background, frame, and inserted poster. These elements create visual dissonance, establishing tension as well as meaningful interplay. In this way, they open up space for multiple interpretations and reflection on the medium itself. Each play has its own identity while remaining part of a unified visual system.
