This project involved designing a 16-page menu for Library Bar, a concept cocktail bar that is part of Edition Hotels in Abu Dhabi. The bar’s identity is rooted in the ambiance of vintage libraries and old reading rooms, and the menu design draws directly from that inspiration.

The layout mimics antique book aesthetics, featuring custom initials and short stories explaining each cocktail’s origin. On the left page of each spread, unique illustrations represent the mood and ingredients of the drink, each rendered in a distinct visual style.

One standout example is The Hand, a cocktail inspired by the region's early desert landscape before Dubai’s development. Nomads searching for water would cup their hands, observing shifting reflections of the sky and sand. A custom-designed glass, created in collaboration with an industrial designe, echoes this story, and the drink itself changes color from blue to yellow, symbolizing that interplay of sky and earth.

The client’s openness to experimentation, including custom-designed coasters and glassware, elevated the entire creative process and allowed for a truly immersive concept.
