This website design, inspired by the work of Tim Burton, was conceived as a digital expression of his distinctive aesthetic—dark, whimsical, and emotionally rich. Golden frames and irregular page cuts create the feeling of flipping through an old diary, while the visual content is arranged in a collage-like layout. The site’s structure is intentionally asymmetrical and unconventional, reflecting Burton’s outsider poetics and inviting users to explore the strange world hidden behind each frame. The result is a site that serves not only as an informational platform but as an immersive experience—a digital window into the mind of one of the most imaginative visual storytellers of our time.
Jana Kovačić was born and raised in Varaždin, Croatia. She completed her secondary education at the First Grammar School of Varaždin, where she attended and graduated from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. In 2023, she enrolled at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Architecture, School of Design, where she is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in industrial design. Her work investigates how design shapes everyday experience, fosters connection, and prompts reflection on one’s surroundings. She is particularly interested in design as a medium for expressing ideas, building atmosphere, and creating new narratives. Her approach emphasizes thoughtful and sensitive design with attention to subtle details and meanings.
