Loop chair is the result of exploring forms that transcend classical typologies, focusing on active sitting and dynamic user interaction with the object. Instead of a static support structure, the chair encourages subtle movements and posture adjustments, activating the body and enhancing comfort. A key feature is its dynamic legs, which ensure stability while allowing fluid motion. The combination of curved and circular lines creates harmony between the user and the object, emphasizing constant change. The form is not a reinterpretation of existing archetypes but an outcome of experimenting with shapes that promote activity. The structure is shaped by bending steel rods in three dimensions, creating a visually simple yet dynamic volume. Thanks to its adaptability and the encouragement of natural body movement, the chair is ideal for open and multifunctional spaces that foster creativity and interaction.
Lucija Grladinović is a third-year undergraduate student of Industrial Design at the Faculty of Architecture, School of Design, University of Zagreb. She sees design as a tool for shaping experiences and fostering positive change—where functionality meets a strong visual narrative. During her studies, she developed a multidisciplinary approach to her work, with particular interests in product design, graphic design, scenography, and photography. As a junior designer, she occasionally collaborates with Goga Golik, gaining hands-on experience in real creative processes. She has participated in projects such as Josipa Tadić’s exhibition and the art initiative Crystal Clean, which helped her develop both conceptually and in terms of production. She is active in the local cultural and design scene—volunteering at Urania and the DA! Festival, where she won first prize in the Industrial Design category in 2025 for her project LOOP CHAIR. Beyond her studies, she completed a photography program at the SOCAPA Academy in the USA in 2021 and graduated from the Helem Nejse Talent Academy in Sarajevo last year, where she deepened her knowledge of visual communication and critical design thinking through theory and practice. By combining different creative disciplines, she strives to create engaged and innovative design solutions that connect with people and respond to everyday needs.
