The SXWU collection explores how sex and intimacy manifest in the bedroom, with a focus on fetishes and kinks. It consists of five elements: three headboards, a footboard, and a ceiling mirror. The collection is inspired by elements of kink culture, such as Shibari, corsets, and BDSM, as well as motifs that are not directly related to kink but carry sexual connotations, like orchids. The idea behind the collection is to further involve the bed and its surroundings in the sexual experience, allowing the user to actively and directly interact with the pieces.
Matej Legati is an industrial designer from Zagreb. He graduated from Vladimir Prelog Science School and, in 2023, enrolled at the School of Design at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb, where he studies industrial design. During his studies, he has participated in workshops such as Supernormal + Affordance, with works exhibited at the Croatian Designers Association gallery. He has also collaborated with various companies, including Obrt Mreža, Mihoković, and Hilding Anders.
