The Media Design program at University North is unique in the region, combining visual communications, new media, and contemporary artistic practices. The curriculum includes typography, photography, illustration, animation, sound, publishing, and multimedia, with research and experimentation emphasized as key working methods. Through practical projects, students learn to design complex media systems and develop their own authorial expression. Classes are held in modern facilities – from studios, a professional photo studio, and a sound design studio to specialized classrooms and lecture halls. The program is open to collaborations with industry, cultural institutions, and international partners.
The exhibition of student works from the undergraduate and graduate Media Design program at University North presents a group authorial exhibition showcasing a selection of works created throughout the course of study – from typography, visual communications, and photography to illustration, 3D animation, and new media. The exhibition concept is shaped as “creative disorder,” with the authors and organizers being the students themselves. The aim is to capture the spirit and processes of work within the Media Design Program, where research, experimentation, and play merge into an atmosphere of “creative chaos” from which professionally designed works emerge.
