Brigada focuses on creating spatial experiences, and for this exhibition we developed an analogue, interactive installation that engages the body, emotion and memory, without digital layers. The installation is conceived as a carousel that takes visitors on a journey through design history. It features five carefully selected chairs, each representing a milestone in furniture design: Thonet No. 14 (1859), Zig Zag (1934), Tulip (1956), Mezzadro (1957) and Panton (1967). Each chair reflects the spirit of its time, yet all share the same purpose, a place to sit, rest and think. In that constancy, we find what drives us as designers: how space, regardless of form or style, creates experience. This installation doesn’t ask visitors to simply observe, it invites them to engage. To sit down, spin, laugh, or perhaps recall a memory. To experience design physically, through motion and presence. Design Carousel reminds us that while materials, technologies and styles evolve, the relationship between people and space remains at the core of every design process.
At Brigada, we believe space is more than physical form, it is an experience that stays with you. Through design, we create environments that go beyond fleeting trends, becoming lived, remembered and shared experiences. Our work spans various commercial spaces, offices, stores, restaurants, exhibition and fair spaces, yet every project starts with the same question: how can space better serve the people who use it? Brigada’s showroom is an extension of this philosophy. It presents design as a tool for dialogue, with audiences, with the industry and with ideas. Through exhibitions and events, we open space for new voices, especially young artists and designers. We give them the chance to test projects, share them publicly and receive genuine feedback. For us, design is not the goal but the means. It communicates, moves and connects. Every space we create, whether commercial or exhibition, shares one mission, to build meaningful and lasting experiences.
