On Monday, September 15, the opening of Boris Ljubičić’s exhibition New Look Croatia takes place on the occasion of the 1100th anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom, featuring 34 posters created in 2007 for the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. The event also includes a lecture by Boris Ljubičić, Zagreb, ah Zagreb, exploring the identity of the city of Zagreb, independently of the recent visual identity competition.
On Wednesday, September 17, the documentary film Zastava by Filip Filković Philatza, about the contemporary identity of Croatia, will be screened, followed by a conversation between Boris Ljubičić and Filip Filković Philatza on design and visual identity.
Behind the name Oris stand three institutions that, in mutual collaboration, form a central hub for the promotion of architectural culture in Croatia and this part of Europe.
Oris Magazine, a bimonthly publication on architecture and culture, addresses architects, designers, urban planners, as well as the wider public interested in architecture, design, photography, theater, visual arts, and theory. The magazine has been continuously published since 1999 as a bilingual edition, in Croatian and English, and by equally presenting regional and international works, it explores the relationships between local and foreign practices. In addition to Oris Magazine, the publishing house has, over its twenty-year history, released a number of special editions and publications in the fields of architecture and art.
