The programme includes an exhibition, two workshops, and a performative presentation in the studio space.
Under the title Ars Metallum pop-up: New Black, the exhibition showcases jewelry by three independent contemporary artists, each with a distinct expressive style. Their wearable objects are presented on a fusion dance performer whose body is painted with body paint designed to visually complement the exhibited works. By moving and posing throughout the atelier, the model creates a dynamic sense of wearability. The concept of “new black” is interpreted as the idea that all colors are the new black.
The programme also includes two workshops: a flexible needle-making workshop with pendants led by JoR, and a silver ring-making workshop guided by Sonja.
Ars Metallum is an artistic collective established in 2023, when three artists came together to form a joint studio at Jurišićeva 16 in Zagreb. The collective stands out for the diversity of its artistic approaches and styles, which coexist harmoniously without causing fragmentation in their collective presentations.
Their first joint public appearance took place in 2024 at the 58th Zagreb Salon, under the theme "Don't Do It Alone".
The main focus of the collective is the creation of artistic jewelry from various metals, as the name itself suggests. Their goals include the realization of artistic projects, collaboration and mutual support, and the organization of professional workshops.
The artists apply traditional handmade jewelry techniques dating back to ancient Egypt. With their authentic artistic expression and contemporary approach, they believe they can significantly contribute to the cultural offering of the city of Zagreb. This is further confirmed by the positive feedback from visitors to their studio.

Julijana Rodić Ozimec, creates jewelry under the pseudonym JoR,
Sonja Turner Fegić, regular member and current president of ULUPUH’s Section for the Design of Precious Metals and Artistic Jewelry.
