Danijela Pičuljan was born in Zagreb in 1967. She began studying ceramics at the Center for Visual Arts Education in Zagreb, and after moving to Varaždin in 1997, she continued her training at the Blaženka Šoić Štebih Ceramics Studio. She has participated in numerous international art colonies, held twelve solo exhibitions, and exhibited at over sixty national and many international juried group exhibitions. Since 2000, she has attended specialized workshops and seminars led by domestic and international experts in ceramics, porcelain, and glass, including Gustav Weiss, Bernd Pfannkuche, Heide Nonnenmacher, Velimir Vukičević, Mutlu Baskaya, Ilona Romule, Graciela Olio, Mami Kato, and Rafael Perez.
Danijela Pičuljan is one of the founders of Kerameikon, the Croatian Ceramics Association from Varaždin, internationally recognized for organizing the Ceramica Multiplex ceramics exhibition. She has been a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC), Geneva since 2019, the Croatian Association of Artists since 2004, and ULUPUH since 2002. From 2014 to 2020, she served as the president of ULUPUH’s Section for Ceramics, Porcelain, and Glass.
For nearly two decades, Dizajnholik has been dedicated to curating a carefully selected collection of design pieces that stand the test of time — aesthetically, emotionally, and materially. The collection includes legendary classics featured in the MoMA collection in New York, as well as works by emerging and yet-undiscovered designers. Every piece in the collection is original, verified, and uncompromising in quality. In addition to sales, Dizajnholik offers design consultancy and interior design services — from small interventions to complete life-changing transformations, creating interiors with identity.
