As part of its program presentation, KO:KE Space is showcasing an exhibition of illustrations and didactic content for the educational picture book series "Architecture for Children" by academic painter Danijel Srdarev.
Through his original illustrations for these educational picture books, Srdarev brings the design works of Bernard Bernardi, Vjenceslav Richter, and Stjepan Planić closer to younger audiences — as well as to older ones. The exhibition will feature original illustrations, drawings, and prints created for the picture books.
KO:KE Space is a thoughtfully designed, multifunctional venue located in the heart of Zagreb, at Prilaz Gjure Deželića 27. Intimate and minimalist, yet full of character, it serves as a platform for diverse creative events, from art exhibitions and product launches to workshops, pop-ups, and small gatherings. Its core idea is to offer a flexible and inspiring environment that adapts easily to different needs and content.
A modular space where ideas, people, and formats meet, KO:KE Space was conceived by designer Maja Bagić Barić and producer Vlatka Augustinović. It is envisioned as a dynamic venue that evolves with its users, shifting in response to content, audience, and context.
By blending expertise in design, production, event organization, and contemporary technologies, the goal is to create a vibrant meeting point of ideas, aesthetics, and experimentation. Special emphasis is placed on interdisciplinarity and openness to contemporary practices, including the integration of new technologies and artificial intelligence as creative tools.
KO:KE Space transforms daily into a creative hub, open to exhibitions, workshops, presentations, promotional events, and collaborative projects. Its mission is to connect the local community with international creatives and provide a space where both emerging and established talents can express themselves freely and grow their work.
