The Primary Skin collection explores the relationship between identity, clothing and social perception, starting from the idea that clothes make the person. In a world oversaturated with fashion, where individuals are increasingly lost in textile waste and superficial judgments, the collection poses the question, who are we beneath everything we wear.
Aesthetically, the collection is defined by bright colors, brocade patterns and iridescent materials that create a visual effect of mimicry, similar to a chameleon blending into the vibrant natural environment. This second skin does not conceal, but paradoxically reveals how far we go in trying to express ourselves while hiding even deeper.
Primary Skin is a prelude to a new visual art project that deepens the themes of visual noise, identity and alienation in today’s world of excessive abundance.
