The chosen name comes from the wine’s region of origin, Slavonia, where the term “Lola” depicts a man who is the soul of every party, who would give everything just for a good time, who above all loves wine, love and song and indulges in carnal delights. Lola is often portrayed with or next to a tamburica, a type of long-necked lute popular in Slavonia. The illustration of “Lola” is playfully intertwined with a contemporary serif typeface in gold foil, a nod to Slavonian fields of “gold”.
