Visual identity of Design Bureau Izvorka Jurić

Project Client: Design Bureau Izvorka Jurić
YEAR: 2020

The “rebranding” of Design Bureau Izvorka Jurić was an evolutionary step. As the phase of establishing the studio on the design market is a thing of the past, therefore mere “informativeness” is no longer decisive, it has given way to a stronger communication of the studio’s personality. The new visual identity is dominated by a characteristic symbol, which has the function of marking Izvorka Jurić as the key person of the studio. It consists of the initials “IJ” drawn on the basis of an extremely contrasting and elegant letter in a composition reminiscent of the silhouette of a shield – an archetypal form that, via heraldry, preceded the development of what we now call visual identity design, i.e. branding – the main field of activity of DBIJ.

Designer and lecturer in visual communication from Zagreb. After graduating from the Design Studio at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb (2000), he became a member of the faculty of the Design Studio, where he worked until 2007. After that he worked at several universities, teaching visual communication design and advertising. Parallel to his involvement in design education, he runs his own graphic design and visual communication studio (korzinekdizajn.com), where he works on projects in branding, packaging, visual identities, advertising and other forms of visual and market communication. Since its establishment in 1997, the studio has been involved in a wide range of projects in Croatia and other countries for clients of various profiles and sizes, from small family businesses to international corporations. He often collaborates in teams of other design studios and agencies such as Havas, McCann Ericsonn, Bunch and with other designers on specific projects.
