Goodbonny

Project Client: Goodbonny
YEAR: 2020

Goodbonny is a project that was created with the aim of introducing order in public and private areas and for the purpose of protecting dogs and passers-by. It is a temporary shelter/house for dogs that comes in indoor and outdoor versions, and is intended for housing dogs in places where they are not allowed. The design of the house was created by analyzing and considering the urban context, and was inspired by the classic dog house. The logic of “cutting” the classic form of the house came from the need to place the house along the facades or against the walls of the interior in order for the communication of passers-by, or the house itself, to function smoothly. The choice of material (polymer composite – Kerrock) resulted from the analysis of the way of use, since hygiene and maintenance are of crucial importance in this case. The house is demountable and delivered in a flat pack, which took care of reducing transport costs and ease of storage when not in use. The project also includes a commercial component, given that the surface of the house is intended as an advertising space.
