What is streetwear, truly? Is streetwear merely a passing fashion trend, or is it something far deeper than mere fashion itself? "Streetwear in the Region - Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow" seeks to address these and numerous other questions through a conversation involving three owners of regional streetwear brands, primarily tackling the question that plagues every young creative individual: how to launch one's own brand?

Moderator

ALI MIRZA MULABEGOVIĆ completed higher education in Prague, and built a career in the field of public relations, marketing and event organization.

He went into independent entrepreneurial waters with the fashion brand younghearts studio and the "nightlife" project Sutra je Subota.

Today, he is the main creative behind the streetwear brand Zagreb Social Club, and at the end of last year he launched the project TEN22 - bar / event space / future. He continues to show his passion for music by performing as a DJ in relevant Zagreb clubs and bars.

Participants

IVA SUPIĆ JANKOVIĆ is a visual artist who has been active on the Amsterdam art scene for many years and since recently lives and works in Zagreb.

She graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam (majoring in fine arts) and the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague, where she studied in the field of artistic research (MAR - master artistic research).

Her artistic practice is interdisciplinary and is structured around various institutional areas: museums, art education, fashion. After several years of work and activity outside Croatia, Iva returned to Zagreb where in 2021 she opened a shop in the center of Zagreb, Planet.

Besides being a sales point for Iva's streetwear brand PLANET, the shop also acts as a place for collaboration and a meeting point of the local art and design scene.

As part of Planet Iva, she opened a screen printing workshop where she offers education in screen printing techniques as well as the possibility of individual printing on paper and textile.

MIRAN LAZIĆ is the creator and the name behind the recognizable Bosnian-Herzegovinian brand REVOLT Clothing.

By vocation, a graphic designer from the Sarajevo Academy of Fine Arts, a lover of graﬃti culture, sports, music, art and design, in the desire to make a breakthrough and bring changes to the Street and Art scene in Sarajevo, in 2010 he launched a clothing brand that now respectably rivals the world well-known brands both in appearance and quality of things, but also in the concept of work.

VANI PEŠEVSKI is the founder of the ZLA-ZLA brand from Belgrade, which owns the streetwear brand ZLA STREET, ZLA SHTEK shop – streetwear and smoke underground concept store, ZLA rizle and ZLA-ZLA CBD legal cannabis.
