Melodies of the Adriatic (Melodije Jadrana) - Music hidden in the sea.When creating the visual identity of the Melodies of the Adriatic musical event, the basic idea was to connect music and the sea. The initials MJ - Melodies of the Adriatic - are derived in the simple form of four waves (Adriatic) which hide one musical note (melody) in the negative space between those M and J.A blue gradient represents the Mediterranean.
Žarko Tičinović, (November 27, 1972) works as an art director in the media house Slobodna Dalmacija. He started his career as a designer and graphic editor in 1993 in the weekly Feral Tribune. Throughout his working life, he also worked on various projects with the largest business entities in Dalmatia (Tommy, HNK Hajduk, Dalmacijakoncert, bit-art Informatika, tourist boards and local governments...). As an associate and member of creative teams, he also won several awards, the most recent of which was the first prize in the recent competition of the City of Split for the architectural and traffic solution of the East Coast, and the nomination of the Croatian Chamber of Architects for the best conceptual venture in 2019. Through his work in the media, he is the author of numerous successful brand awareness campaigns, slogans and visual solutions.
