The LOVE LETTERS nightstands for HER and for HIM are a reminder of the importance of writing love letters in the age of digital communication and about how we forgot how to write and read in the parallel virtual reality. In this time of the increasing number of communication tools, such as mobile phones or applications like Whatsapp, Messenger, Instagram, Snapchat, Tik Tok, Teams and Zoom, our communication is quantitatively increasing, but qualitatively decreasing.

LOVE LETTERS raise awareness about how it is more important than ever to discover the essence, which is invisible to the eyes of artificial intelligence. Emotions are what we all live for. The expression of love and emotions is nevertheless the foundation of any relationship in order for it to further develop and flourish.

Although the first thing we think of when we hear “love letter” is a mutual romantic confession of the two lovers in their infinitely long letters, LOVE LETTERS try to encourage individuals to write love letters to themselves. Let the bedroom be the place where we put on rose-coloured glasses, a place of intimacy and self-love primarily. Nightstands guide us to the most hidden corners of our hearts and above all to the essence of life – how to listen to ourselves first.

Author

Architect Maja Stamenković in her works create spaces with incredible magic and creativity, where details reflect personality of the individual using this characteristic space. In 2017, she founded MASTAR studio for architecture and design. She was locally and internationally awarded for her aesthetic and refined design. Her main goal and aspiration is to produce a timeless yet timely scenario with artistic pieces of furniture and installations - ones that are not only exclusive to the owner who commissioned the project but also to the designer who sculpted its form.
