I make simple, pleasant, comfortable, and wearable clothes. I love making timeless garments that can be easily mixed and matched, and worn throughout the year. I enjoy playing with different textures and exploring and combining them. I make mostly simple cuts that I like to complicate with asymmetry. I choose only natural fabrics such as cotton, viscose, and linen, I try to have as little waste as possible when tailoring, so I am happy to explore zero-waste models as well.
The idea for #necklacestetik necklaces was born next to a bag of unused fabric collected during tailoring. Today, large amounts of unused textiles are thrown away and turned into waste, as a friend of nature, I did not want to contribute to this pollution and gave the unused material a new purpose by turning it into necklaces. They are my version of musical stories told through combinations of colors and fabrics, that's why each of the necklaces is named after a song.
I am Ines Strelar from Zagreb, born in 1979. I grew up in a family with both grandmothers who were seamstresses, and as a child, I sat on their laps at the sewing machine and tried to sew. My education took me in a different direction, but my love for "clothes" developed by sewing my own clothes. Therefore, I decided to dedicate myself to it and after gathering the necessary work experience, passed the master's exam at the Croatian Chamber of Crafts in 2009. Having my own brand has been my great desire since the beginning of my career. After the experience of working as a seamstress in different workplaces, it was time to set a new challenge to fulfill my desire. In the spring of 2019. I registered Inestetik, and through it I provide numerous tailoring services and also create a line of ready-made clothes. As a friend of nature, I don't want to contribute to environmental pollution, so I make #necklacestetic necklaces from the fabric scraps collected during tailoring, giving unused material a new purpose.
