Obesity is one of the leading public health problems and challenges today. It is globally classified as a disease according to the Xth revision of the International Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD-10).Obesity in childhood is a special challenge. Significant proportions of overweight children were recorded in all European countries, while Croatia ranks fifth together with other countries in the Mediterranean region.
The project called "I love myself - I eat healthy." was made as part of the Visual Communication and New Media course (2nd undergraduate year of Media Design) as a social campaign against childhood obesity, and is intended primarily for parents and their children (8-10 years old age).
The goal of this project is to educate and raise awareness of the problem of childhood obesity and to offer an alternative solution for childhood obesity prevention. The main idea of the project is based on the creation of a practical solution that, through a fun-educational board game with cards, encourages children to learn and memorize certain food values while playing, overcome various challenges through physical activity, and have fun at the same time.
