The work presents the power and creative potential provided by neural networks and artificial intelligence through a methodological approach that is corrected and guided by conversation with a person who has systematically prepared for the conversation by studying the functioning of neural networks. The concept of creating a fictional persona using neural network-based tools is based on two key components: the principles of speculative design and the idea of technological singularity.

The goal of the project is to simulate technological singularity using speculative design methods and principles, as well as modern technology, in order to explore the following question: Can a "machine" perform creative work and engage in activities that are exclusively human?

Gianluca Giorno is a metaphysical identity that emerged after months of studying, researching, and utilizing neural networks. His personality, biography, works, work philosophy, memories, ideas, and everything that constitutes him as a person and artist, were entirely generated using machine learning processes. The generated information was compiled, and based on it, a chatbot was shaped—a digital persona that metaphysically is Gianluca Giorno. As part of the work, an experimental exhibition was held at the Zagreb Society of Architects in early June 2023. The exhibition aimed to bring the artist to life in the public space, evoke intrigue and critical credibility without disclosing the key information of his origin.

Luka Šimunović is a graphic designer who recently graduated from the design programe at the college of architecture in Zagreb in the field of visual communications.
