Fashion designers Karaka design (Vesna Karuza and Senija Radić) and product designer Ada Kezić have combined their knowledge in designing unique objects for sitting, and perhaps also for playing. Ada Kezić's furniture is characterized by minimalism, the bearer of her expression are refined geometric shapes made of carefully selected materials, perfectly finished. Senija Radić's and Vesna Karuza's clothes are emphatically sculptural, shaped by tailoring into organic volumes that wrap around the body or go out into space. "Fashion construction" presents dialogue of their different expressions and media, and connects product and fashion design.
Senija and Vesna approached upholstery as clothing and enriched it with 3D shapes, pleats created by folding, folding and layering textiles, and those that protrude more prominently into the space in the form of various spikes and conical,cone-shaped forms.
Upholstery was made for Pilates balls, which often roll around our living spaces against our will.Filled with air, light and mischievous, they gave the authors the opportunity to indulge in true sculptural design in textiles, unencumbered by functional requirements.They disguised them as different creatures with wings and spikes which nevertheless, at the slightest turn, lay down, revealing their delicate nature, which is made of textiles.The textile envelops them, gathers, follows their shape and creates small "Fashion construction" of 3 elements: "Morus", "Spike" and "Spira".
KARAKA_DESIGN is a fashion brand established in 2002 signed by Vesna Karuza and Senija Radić, master's degrees at the TTF, Zagreb.Under this name they have participated in numerous fashion shows (Zagreb Fashion Week, Zlatna igla, Prague Fashion Week, MQ Vienna Fashion Week), international fashion fairs( Gallery Dusseldorf, Curate NY, SHWRM NY)and section and group exhibitions at ULUPUH – The Croatian Association of Applied Arts Artists. They received designers’ awards such as Mandica 2002 - for the best young designer, Manda 2003 - for the best collection, FWZ etc. We put emphasis on originality and uniqueness, and our goal is to make you feel comfortable, look modern and to offer our services at a high quality level. ADA KEZIĆ, product designer. 1996 master's degree at the School of Design, AF, Zagreb. Until 2010, she worked as in-house designer for several Croatian furniture manufacturers. In 2013 she founded A1 FORMAT design studio. She prefers projects that integrate industrial/product design, interior, exhibition and graphic design, especially ecological design. She is a professional member of the CFAA, CDA and CAAAA. She has exhibited at international fairs and exhibitions in Zagreb, Split, Belgrade, Ljubljana, Cologne, Stockholm, Milan. Her main motto is: "Simplicity".
