Come sit textile chair is a depiction of the artist’s inner world and tangled thoughts. While creating with textiles, the artist meditates and “sits“ with her thoughts. She rearranges, analyzes and later materializes them in the form of tangled textile hands. The more she sits with her thoughts, the more loving and accepting they become, hugging her through that process.
Nikolina Krstičević is a Masters student of textile design at the Faculty of Textile Technology in Zagreb. She showed her work in various exhibitions (SC Gallery, LAUBA, ULUPUH, ZDW etc.). In 2020 she had a solo exhibition in Split’s Klub Zona and made illustrations for Croatian Postal Bank’s loan campaign. She also exhibited at the Textile Biennial in Kranj (BIEN2021) where she stayed on an artist residency. In her work she explores her inner world, merging illustration, textile and sculpture.
