The illustrated story tells in a fun and engaging way the history of Kajkavski language and its historical use in different areas of public life, science, and culture in Croatia. Visually inspired by the traditional local motives with style appropriate to school children. Throughout the book we meet more or less known authors and their work. The goal was to introduce young people to the less familiar cultural and linguistic content hoping that it also becomes a part of the school curriculum.
Grgo Petrov is a visual designer and illustrator who enjoys working on projects that help contribute to local communities. Outside his studio, he loves spending his time around languages, music and travel. Bojana graduated Croatian language and does research work on Kajkavski idiom. She wrote the story hoping to bring something new, fun and engaging to the younger local audience.As a team, they share a passion for promoting and preserving local Croatian linguistic heritage among the youth.
