The exhibited works were created at a time marked by earthquakes, pandemics and online classes during the winter semester of the academic year 2020/2021 at the Faculty of Textile Technology, within the courses Textile Creation IVA and Textile Creation VIA under the mentorship of full professor art. Andree Pavetić and Associate Professor art. Koraljke Kovač Dugandžić. Students were given the shape (cut) of the bag and slippers and the type of material for making the base of the bag and slippers (non-woven fabric, felt 3 mm thick). The task solved by the students and mentors was to articulate the surface of the bag and slippers so that the two objects form a visual whole. By visually connecting these two objects of everyday use, which are connected to two opposite places of our daily stay – a bag while staying outside our home, and slippers while staying in our home, we wanted to emphasize the chaos that pandemics and earthquakes brought into our lives – we studied and worked from home and in slippers we ran out into the street in moments of the earthquake, carrying bags with basic personal belongings. These events changed our understanding of life and values in life, our ways of living and working.
