Those times in which we’ve consumed only the food from our closer surroundings are long past us. Delivering hot meals and ordering food online has become more than an everyday act. The packaging for transporting the delivery, unfortunately, quickly ends up in a pile of non-degradable waste. The challenge was to develop a fully renewable, low cost wrap with thermal protection for use in food transport channels. The "Seaweed Wrap" is made of seaweed and paper; it has an extremely high heat insulation coefficient and is at the same time light for transport. It is easily adaptable to the necessary shapes and dimensions of packaging and preserves the product from breaking.
